Associating LDAP clients with SVMs

You can associate an LDAP client with a Storage Virtual Machine (SVM), which enables you to use LDAP as a name service or for name mapping.

Steps

1.	From the home page, double-click the appropriate storage system.

2.	Expand the Storage Virtual Machines hierarchy in the left navigation pane.

3.	In the navigation pane, select the SVM, and perform the appropriate action:

If your storage system is running...	Do this...
Data ONTAP 8.1 or a later version in the 8.1 release family	Click Configuration > Services > LDAP.
Data ONTAP 8.2 or a later version in the 8.2 release family	Click Configuration > Services > LDAP Configuration.

4.	Click Edit.

5.	Edit the active LDAP client.

7.	Verify that the changes you made are updated in the LDAP Configuration window.
